It's no secret that I love drawing, colouring and painting with watercolours. It's just something that I have always enjoyed and am drawn to doing. I enjoy the challenge and the process of trying to replicate the colours, textures and details of the world around me. It feels great to take a blank piece of paper and to make it into something special that I can be proud of and share with others.
As it so happens, I also love helping other people to love these things too. So many people comment that they wish they could create beautiful artwork but it is hard to know where to start!

I teach a range of workshop classes for all skill levels. I always love teaching absolute beginner classes but I also run classes that focus on specific techniques and artistic principles, do step-by-step paintings together and teach more advanced botanical watercolour classes and painting sessions. Painting Sessions with Lauren May SK
This is a new one for me! I've recently begun facilitating 'painting sessions'. A whole group of us gather together and bring along our art materials and current botanical painting projects. I will be there to guide and advise you in improving your technique and skills as you work on your individual artwork and you get to spend a relaxing few hours painting in the midst of a like-minded, creative community of ever improving artists. Suitable for any and all skill levels!
